im building a 34 dodge 1/2 ton truck with a 350 motor and a muncie four speed. I have already installed an ifs kit along with boxing the frame to behind the cab for now. the truck origanly had x bracing but since it was in the way i used the x bracing to box the frame. so do i need to put x bracing back in to keep from racking?

  2. I agree. Pickups tend to flex more than a car because they are not using the body for structure. Just build your X bracing around your transmission. It doesn't need to be anything fancy.

You can also use roll bar tubing for X bracing, Works great because you can run things thru it easily.

A K member like the adds for a 32 Ford frame would work very well.
