Just read some of the new Rod and Custom. I always look at the concept (dream) page at the beginning. This month I noticed a track roadster (one of my favorites) was featured. After reading the specifications I looked for the artist. It says that it's some guy by the name of Jeff Norwell. Now if that doesn't sound like a stage name I don't know what does. It even seems to have a Canadian ring to it. Go figure. Anyway I'd be interested to find out if anyone here can unmask this Norwell guy. something seems strangely familiar. I'll buy a couple of rounds of Mt. Dew to the first person that clear up this mystery. Frank
Where have you been? Jeff is a true-blue HAMB'r .......and one of the most talented artists on this continent. Its no stage name either, unless he has been fooling us for the last 20 years. He is also one of the most generous rodders you would ever want to meet. Get yer **** up here to some shows in Canada and I'll introduce you. Mmmmm, Mountain Dew. My favorite.
Big congrats to the Brush man! I gotta go out and get this as I am a Brush fan. Hey Frank, for those of us who don't subscribe to a lot of publications, what's the month on the cover of this one, so we know if we're gettin' the right one at the store?
OK, big confession. I knew who it was all along and just wanted to pull someones chain. I'll second your opinion of Jeff on the artistic level, he's one of the best. His stuff just blows me away. And besides that he's one of the neatest people I've met even though I've only talked to him a couple of times. The Detroit Autorama seem to be the only time I get to talk to him, but it's always a pleasure. Congrats Jeff on the rod and Custom feature. If you want to thank me for bringing the focus on you with this thread I'll gladly accept your Hemi truck as partial payment and we can just let the balance slide. Frank
Jeff has been really busy as of late.....I talked to him not too long ago via email. He's my Kanadian Hero..........then Tuck.
For the short time I had the pleasure of talking with him, Brush seems like a really nice guy (although I probably wouldn't lend him any money or anything). His artwork is super. At last years Autorama he had brought a piece to Denise that just blew me away. One of my goals in life is to have some of his work hanging on my wall. Hey, I could just tear that page out my R&C.
Yeah, I talked to him at Autorama last year. He's definately one of the cl***ier acts I've met. Way to go dude! Jay
'36, Your the winner of this little leg pulling caper. I'll leave the Mt. Dew on the front porch, come on over any time and collect. If your unable to make it shortly I'll just put it in my car so it will be available if we ever meet. Congrats, that's just as good as a lottery win here in the states. Frank
Hmmmmmm!!! Land in Florida......................Let me check......................Yea, I just happen to have a 2,000 acre parcel just a couple of miles offshore on the Gulf side (great view of the hurricanes). You'll be able to spot it real easy from the highway It's staked out with flags on the stakes. Send me a money order for $150,000 and I'll send you a key so you can look it over. Frank
