My underlieing theme is " This stuff is handy to have even if I never do use it ". One look at my place and you will know I'm serious!

Hahaha, just yesterday my wife said she was going to start calling me "Sanford". I think it's time to start selling some stuff.

I just moved last September, I swear I was moving stuff I hadn't unpacked from the last move ten years ago!

    [/ QUOTE ]

I've got boxes that haven't been unpacked in the last three moves!! (mostly books) Moving every 3-4 years is painful too even if someone else is doing it for me (and I'm always up against my weight limit!).

Last time I had a big cleanout, I regret every minute of it. Every once in a while, I'll need something I got rid of back then - kills me. Solution? I now never throw anything away!! [IMG]

I have tons of***** in my garage along with a sign that reads: "This is not a museum, this junk is for sale." No matter how much junk I get rid of it never seems to make a dent in the vast pile of stuff.

I'm one of them old farts who never get rid of stuff. But
all you young bucks HANG ON TO IT. I have been padding my retirement. Since Oct I have made about $7000.00 on E Bay.
And I still have most of it left. Better than letting the kids throw it away when I'm gone.

  7. Yes, yes hoarding, hoarding, collecting, collecting !!!!!

Oh, I need to clean out a rented barn this year. Have nightmares if I only think about it.

What's funny is... my buddy is helping me clean out the shop and when I throw stuff away, he carts it out of the trash and takes it home.......better him than me. [IMG]

I like to surround myself with things that I think are neat and or beautiful. I enjoy them today. Tomorrow may never come. I'm just a trustee for their safe keeping.

[/ QUOTE ]I agree with Tommy, and when we pass someone else gets to be a trustee for a while. You really can't take stuff with you,and besides ,there are more important things to consider in the eternal prospective of things. It's just stuff...Think about it.

the guys at the shop call me sanford because i hang onto stuff that they try to throw out .its tucked into corners under tables ,any where i can find a spot.but they change there minds everytime they get into a problem and need that special part that will make everything work.i did some spring cleaning and made about $200 on e-bay with some stuff i had under my tool box. i did have to clean out my grandmas house she had about 150 yellow plastic*****er containers ,,she had to save them !!!!! im not that bad...YET

I've been looking for a house with a flat spot!
You know, a spot where you can set something down without moving something out of the way first. I've always wanted a house with one of those...

We must never forget the true meaning of "junk/stuff": You keep it around for three years and throw it away three weeks before you really need it.
