Given what is statistically the basic body shape on the HAMB, artwork on the front is more likely to be stretched out at the bottom. On the back would be more unlikely to change the shape of the original design

50's and 60's, all my T -shirts were white with no pockets. Cigarettes were rolled up in the sleeve.

50% of the time, I like the art on the front.

Actually, it kinda depends on the art. Sometime the art lends itself better be on the back or front. Depending on how the art lays out.

Okay Ryan, I’m going to help you out....
Artwork on front, NO pockets as they are useless!
White, tan, medium blue, black gets too hot.

Wash your shirts inside out so they don’t fade guys....

I’m with the big on the back and small logo on front crowd. I prefer the thinner stretchy shirts vs the thick heavy ones though. All the car shows sell them thick one’s only so that’s what I end up buying.

  14. My front ain't what it used to be and artwork on the front doesn't look like it is supposed to so I prefer it on the back. Small on front is ok

Agreed about the art, if it’s a concert t-shirt then the art is always in front.

I’m not real picky. Art can be on either side, it sometimes depends on the artwork itself which is the better side. Shirt can be any color.

But pockets. My god, they are terrible. After one or two washes you have this useless little wadded up saggy tit thing pulling at the rest of your shirt. Instant hard pass for me.

You didn’t ask about sleeve length…!

If it's in the front, it HAS to breathe. I hate a sweaty chest. Well, on me, anyway.

  21. I think you've stumbled upon something here. If the design is heavier on lettering and text it looks better on the back. If there's little or no text and more graphics in the design it seems better on the front.

As far as shirt colors go, I'm not that picky. As long as the shirt color works with the color(s) of the artwork. More than one or two colors in the graphics can limit the choices for shirt colors. I like pockets for holding lens caps, a pen or maybe business cards, but it's not a deal breaker.

Good quality shirts don't do that. Wash your t-shirts in cool or warm water and run them through a warm, not hot dryer.

Hang them outside on a clothes line. It's traditional.

How about a t-shirt with just a small chest logo on the front, plain back and front?
I think that was mentioned earlier. I'd go for something like that.
    Don't need a pocket either.
Otherwise, I'd probably side with the small front/large back design crowd.

I was talking to a t-shirt vendor at an off-topic event a few years ago about this same subject. He claims that the West Coast guys prefer the large artwork on the back and East Coast guys prefer it on the front.

I agree with big john d : If Jungle Pam or Dolly Parton is wearing it, NOBODY cares what's written on the back !!! (or the front ,for that matter...)

My car club has T-shirts made with the picture on the front and a bunch of advertising on the back from sponsors who subsidize the costs of the shirts. We become walking billboards.
