So I'm almost done with the econoline, one major problem with the dog house is lack of room. Even though I've altered the dog house to fit the headers I'm still in need of more room for the plug wires, they dont touch anywhere but I cant get my hands in there to do basic maintenance like plug change outs. I've had OK luck with using SBC wires for the 90* boots but I still want to change them to a longer set up that does NOT go over the valve covers. I want to run to the front of the engine and then back along the top of the heads. Clear as mud right? Anyway the question is does anyone on here make wire sets? Can/will you make me a set? Turn around time isn't too important but I dont want to wait a long time. Added text: I have made sets up before but to tell the truth it looked like ****, so I'm looking for quality as well as good looks (spl*)
Buy a spool of bulk, the right crimpers, and go for it. It'll never fit right without the van in the driveway, just like tailoring a suit. I made my own set, thats whats in that chrome loom in the picture. Wasn't hard.
MSD makes a tool that you use for measuring the cut end and for crimping in a vice - really easy and works good - It takes the screw up factor out of the equation.
Summit racing sells universal sets that you build yourself. I buy taylor 8mm wires. About $65 . never replaced a set of taylors. They have any boot configuration and color you need. http://store.summitracing.com/partd...1&part=MSD%2D31189&N=700+115&autoview=sku MIke
Thanks for the input guys. Looks like I'll have to buy a decent crimper. Thats cool, I've always said any reason to buy tools is good.
