We were going through some of my wife's folks old photographs and came across some with cars in them. I will post a few, some you will know. Maybe some you do not see every day. Jim
Wow! People actually hanging around a Chrysler Airflow "back in the day". Those were pretty unpopular and showed poor sales. Your relatives knew how to pick the cars that would later become collectable. Great photos! Thanks for showing them! PS - It is a Chrysler....
6 This is the last one I have scanned. Can you imagine having one of these today is the same condition? Jim
I bet it is! I have stayed there. Really cool place! I just found this post card of the Arlington. Looks like they were on vacation!
Elrod, I will have to take your word for it because I do not have a clue. My wife's uncle LLoyd took the photos, and he died when the wife was a young girl. There are no notes, but the wife knows who the people are. And, Chrysler Co attempt at aero sthoing was lost on the general public. But that is where the PT Cruiser styoing sprang from. And IT is successfou today. Well, at least was. Seems like the auto stylists are going back to a flat box lookin thingy. Jim
Jim C...know any Thurlows in Webb City? Ex-Wife's Mother's former name...haven't been thru there in ages...and I have a few pics like that in my Grandfather's (and Father's) album... R-
Roger, My family knew the Thurlo's. I just looked through the phone book and found three Thurlo's listed, Rob, Ronald, and Wallace. There is a Gary in Galena, Ks. JIm
I thought that place looked familiar, I was up there to visit my G.F.'s Brother in Hot Springs (Lake Hamilton) a year and a half ago and I had a beer in the lobby bar. It's a beautiful old building.
