Do you remember when you got "It"????

when i was 6 years old, i used to walk to school everyday past this 63 corvette, i'd never seen anything like it. i loved that car, i'd see it every morning. it was silver - grey and i thought the front looked like a shark ( hey, i was 6 years old)

 

I was 11. I did some yard work for my dad's buddy and he said "I can pay you...or you can have that car over there." I didn't even contemplate the choice. I rode in the car as my dad towed it home and slammed the brakes whenever we hit dirt or gravel. Never looked back.

 

It was back in 1975 when I got an '53 BelAir, yup in 1:24 scale by Monogram. I was the coolest 7 year old, at least in my opinion.
