Hey guys, need to find some engine info and positive ID on my 1955 Dodge C-1 truck, as I am hunting a water pump and some other stuff. I THINK it is a 241 V8, but some info points to it being a 270? It seems to be a Plymouth engine, which is original to the truck, I just really want to be sure. I have a well written book by Don Bunn, another HAMBER turned me on to, but gets a little murky for those years. The block # is P29-260953 If anyone can help me out or knows of a decode site I missed, please throw it my way. Thanks!!!

Yep...I needed a water pump for mine and thought I had a 241 poly. Bought a water pump off of evil-bay for a 241 and then found out that I had a 259 poly. No matter, many of the parts are interchangeable. 73RR is the expert on these matters...pay attention to his posts, they are very helpful.
