Anyone know if the frame comes apart front to back for rust treatment? If so, is there a trick? Thanks, Jason

It splits in the middle so you can change the glass, the chrome/ stainless is If I remember correctly pinched on.

  4. Top and bottom halves of the windshield are held together with 4 10-32 screws on each side that screw into a piece of 1/4" square bar stock that fits inside the frame to hold the two halves together. There is a little stainless clip that hides the seam on each side and a trim piece that covers the center post on the outside, with ends that are bent to hook over the top and bottom halves of the frame. The center post is attached permanently to the bottom half and attaches to the top half with a single 10-32 screw. On '37 and most '38 frames, the seam where it comes apart is at the mid-point on each side. On late '38 and all '39 frames, the seam is closer to the bottom. The early and late style frames as a whole will interchange.
