I bought my car mostly dissasembled and am in need of a guide or manual for what parts (esp. front sheetmetal/trim) go and in what order they assemble. Does something like this exist? I've got a couple of pieces I'm scratching my head about.
I dont know about an assembly guide but the factory parts manual might help, it has a bunch of exploded view drawings, its online at http://chevy.oldcarmanualproject.com/ Lots of good info there
Got a camera????? If so how about taking some pics, it might help us to be able to telling you where they might go....joe
Re-Prints are available. Do a "Google" search for an "Assembly Manual" for the year you have. They are an invaluable source for re-assembly. You might want to buy the Electrical assembly manual to help with any wiring issues. Chevrolet also printed Body Trim Manuals that show you how that all goes together.
I think what you want to look for specifically is called a "Fisher Body Manual". You might have some luck hunting around on this site: http://www.tocmp.com/
I have the Passenger Car Shop Manual, a reprint of the original book that service dudes used. You can order it from the Filling Station (www.fillingstation.com). Part # DG-7. It has some good stuff in it, but it's geared more towards taking stuff apart, as it's usually pretty obvious how things go back together if you were the one who just took it apart within the last day or two. But like TooMany said, shoot some pics of what you're wondering about, and we'll try to help.
