Does anybody drop I-beam Axles?

Discussion in 'The Hokey Ass Message Board' started by NoCentsRacing, Jan 29, 2006.

  1. Does anybody provide the service of dropping A model or early Ford axles? I'd like to have one of my Model A axles dropped about 2 - 2 1/2 inches for a real "traditional" look.

Get ahold of Elpolacko here on the board. He has an axle dropping service where he is located and they do a super job of dropping axles. The cost is very competitive and the turn around is as good as it gets. Look him up on the member list and send him a PM to get the particulars.

  8. No cents....I would be interested in what you find out as to cost and time frame....also if they retain the shape of the end or will it be "pinched/streched" as some were done.
    Thanks

What in the fucking hell is wrong with you? You’ve had it spelled out for you (in the other post) by a bunch of guys that TOTALLY know there shit, There is a nothing weak about model A axles and there way stronger than aftermarket axles. They are just as thick as later V8 axles, so how can they be weaker? Or are they junk to?

Take a look at a total front end as a package. Anything is only as strong as it's weakest link. Is the main leaf thicker and stronger than the axle, NO. Are the shackles thicker and stronger than the axle, NO. Is even the spindle thicker and stronger, I don’t think so. And so on....................................

I asked you to prove it the last time you brought up this turd story. Now im telling you prove it now or shut the fuck up.

And for your information Bishop’s AV8 is running one and nowhere that I know of has he or VT ever said that.

Do you even know one when you see it?
    Bishop’s car below. Over
