Do fluid type balancers ever wear out? Can the silicone break down? Can the inertia ring stick ?

Well hang on here.... Umm I just checked my wife's ***'S and after 4 years they still seem pretty firm so I id say all is good ..Her ring is still on too.. Maybe if i grab her by the ankles and shake her around a bit id get a better feel for it...

seems to me Fluidamper's claim was that the fluid style balancer they sold would not wear out. I know that the TCI balance I have on my BBC says to return it every 10 years to be rebuilt
