First time I have seen this article and yes it needs to be updated if possible. I guess this is one of my all time favorite articles I have read on the Hamb site. To find an old custom is one thing but to find the original builder and his family is another. To be able to get the real facts on the build from the builder/owner is incredible to say the least and to top it all off all the printed articles, books and information is over the top.

I just read this for the first time and know a lot of people in the Lewiston/Clarkston valley that knew Roy.
A year or so ago I purchased a Model A roadster pickup that he built back in the day and is pretty much untouched with the exception of the lettering on the doors. It has the original engine from this truck in it and runs like a Swiss watch.
It looks exactly the same as it did as entered in the Spokane Auto Boat Speed Show in 1973. IMG_7420.jpeg IMG_7422.jpeg IMG_7426.jpeg IMG_7421.jpeg IMG_7423.jpeg

That RPU is a great time capsule, I love the little camper shell on it!

It may be best if he did nothing. He was talking about putting a Pinto/ Mustang II front steering on it.
