A while ago I saw this paint on chrome I did not give it much thought but a buddy of mine that owns a bike shop uses it and he loves the stuff. I saw some stuff he did with it and it looked really nice but of course I did not have any original chrome next to it to see if there was any tint difference I will look around and see if I can get the name of the product.

There is a place in Orange County on the west coast hear that I used and they are resonably priced and really do some great stuff. If he justs wants it to look presentable I found this stuff at Lowes called Brasso and this stuff really works good. Im mean really really good.

When in the Army, could not have made it thru Basic Training without Brasso.
Sorry 'bout the hi jack, back to regular scheduled program.

I have used Brasso on chrome, works pretty good, but made for brass, and really makes a brass radiator shine, or anything brass.

Find better used ones and sell the ones he's got. A lot of brightwork out there could be cleaned to "good enough" but goes for the same price as really scabby stuff that could never be cleaned up.

If it's horribly rusty chrome, turtle wax chrome polish works well. Hard to believe given it's wal-mart nature, but true.

Lots of great info here: http://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/showthread.php?t=407834&showall=1

We make some products that would take care of you here too. You can use the Wizards Metal Polish or Metal Renew.

Then follow it up with the Wizards Power Seal to protect against future corrosion.

You can apply our products by hand with a little elbow grease or check out our Metal Buffs that chuck up in your drill.

All of our products can be found on our site at www.WizardsProducts.com or call us at 800-356-7223. We can also help you find a dealer that carries Wizards Products in your area. See my signature for a HAMB discount too!

i find that the good spray on chrome is as difficult and expensive as the real thing, and not as durable

    now...silver spray paint:)
