Folks Of Interest Does anyone have pics of George Asche's roadster?

I had the pleasure of speaking with George Asche on the phone today. What a guy! He was more than willing to discuss my build with me, and give me more advice than i'de ever need. Definatly the coolest 78 year old i've ever met.

He also went on to tell me about his Desoto roadster powered by an L6 that can cruise at 100mph and get upwards of 25mpg.

I'd love so see pictures if anyone has them.

Here is the dashboard. I have the front and rear of the outside of the car on a card he sent me, but my scanner is toes up right now. It would take me a couple days to get to the drug store to scan it. Happy to send it, if no one else responds, PM me, and I'll get to it. Hope this helps. GA

 

WHOA! There is an awful lot going on in that cockpit. Thanks for posting. Please don't go out of your way to scan those pics, I'd really hate to have you go through all that trouble for me.

Hopefully some one else on here knows the car.

 

George's entire car is filled with "whistles and bells and trinkets" He drove the roadster to Texas on his honeymoon in the 40's I believe. Sorry now I didn't take pics of the car when I was there
