I have a PS pump out of a 1953 Chrysler Imperial and it puts out only 650 PSI and I need to increase the PSI output to 950 PSI.

Does anyone know of a knowledgeable re-builder who can have access to a replacement Pressure Control Valve Spring that will up the pressure to the correct PSI? If someone has the part I can do the replacement myself...I just need the correct spring.

I bet I could add shims to the spring housing to increase the tension for the spring however I would prefer to got the correct route first.

    THANKS!!!

  2. You could try "Lares Corporation" out of Cambridge MN. www.larescorp.com. Not sure if they do pumps that old but they do work with a lot of older vehicles.

Lares advertises in the "Antique Automoble", the magazine of the AACA so they probably can help with a '53. Are you trying a modification or does your PS need 950 psi?

  4. Stock pressure is around 1000 psi., its needs to be rebuilt.
