Chris posted a lone picture of this in his coverage of bonneville, and it is sooo cool, i was wondering if anyone had more pictures or knew anything about it... Thanks
No but it sure is sweet looking. I thinking it would look better parked in the shade of my garage though.
Some one will have pictures of it im sure. There was a grey one running around with this car all week. They must have been built in the same shop or next to each other. They were both very cool cars.
This is just a guess but when I looked at it it looked like something Josh Shaw or his Dad would build and since it was from Ohio....... and here's who it was running around with
It was lettered by Josh (corngrower32). I think it belongs to (32csr). It was for sale not long ago on eBay.
YEESSSS thank you so much! they are both really sweet rides, great stance great lines.... does anyone know what mill the brown one is running?
It was "July" in my Peter Vincent calendar. Says it was built by Matt Reynolds from an old 80's show car that burned. Has a SBC, '59 Corvette steering box, big ol SW's. Was from Cinncinnati.
Matt Reynolds of Cincinnati (35) owned it. He built it about four years ago. It was a loaner car for a lot of guys in Cincy that needed a hot rod for the weekend. I drove it to Detroit Autorama two years ago and drove it home in a SNOW and ICE STORM! I had to reach up and whipe the Ice off the outside of the windshield every 5 min. It was killer! Car ran and drove great.. Matt and his dad build a fine car! Matt has driven it to B-ville the last three years straight! About a month ago he sold it on Ebay for GOOD money.. The guy was going to B-Ville and asked Matt if he could drive it out and deliver it.. Matt did and flew home. Thats why in some B-ville coverage different guys are in it. The Grey one belong to one of Matts buddy's named John Bailey. There is about 5 or 6 traditional looking Tubs running around Cincy. There called "The Tub Club" I was in it for a short while with a steel 34 tudor tub. Matts car went to Cali I believe as did my Tub.. Joshua Shaw This is not Matt either.. Just a BSM member trying it out for the night! That rolling ch***is is the "513" tub.. (513 is the Cincinnati area code) This is Matts dads "Vicky Tub" Another member of the "Tub Club" Shawn.. And Mine.. J SHaw
Very nice selection there. Makes me inch to start building mine, alas maybe this winter. The B&W picture is funny, ya think she got drug to that car show? Boy she looks pissed. Also I'm really liking the louvered licenese plate cool idea. Nice tubs good job!!!!
awesome! thanks for all the info... that car would be absolutely perfect with a flatty or a warmed up banger. Cool tubs you all got over there for sure, im definatly gonna build one some day...
Me too......................like what possessed him to put such a retarded looking part on an otherwise cool car.
Ahhhhh! And just when I thought California WASN'T full of a bunch of "know it all" JACK ***ES. Thanks for clearing that up for us!
Hey why don't you post pictures of your Camaro and we will tell you what we think... Yes, Flatheads would be cool but we drive across country without trailers behind us like some east coast builders...... and with Coker Bias Ply's at high speeds without problems.
Hey Muttley! Thanks for your West Coast style comment on my front spreader bar. I built it that shape so it will fit up your *** easier. It just goes to show rather than a compliment to my car for being driven to Bonneville (1800 miles each way and back) from Cincy 3 times, you show your ignorance. Thanks for your help, next time I will consult with you. Now, please post pics of your 72' nova for us. 32csr
WAAIT a fuggin' minnit! You wanna start talkin' smack about the left side of the country? Muttley is NOT the West Coast's Diplomat to the world of hot rods. EVERYONE knows the WEST COAST has ALWAYS had great style. You guys in OHIO are alright too.
Easy guys. With that many posts he has to be some kind of hot rod genius. Those are some of the coolest cars on here, and they are driven.
My comment had nothing to do with the "West Coast style" whatever that is and I dont care if you strapped a JATO bottle to the car and orbited the moon fourteen times with it, that spreader bar does and will forever ****. As far as consulting with me, that might be a good idea, that way you wont end up with a big ugly spot on an otherwise cool car. You may have to wait a while for pics of the Nova, it's in the shop at the moment...................I'm having a footprint gas pedal installed. Here's a little entertainment for Mazooma, just in case he decides to check out this thread:
Muttley, Boo hoo. Can you please post a picture or two of your 65' Comet? I'm looking in all my hot rod books and can't find one. Thanks. 32csr
Um.......so anyway......about the front spreader bar, what is it? Three pieces stacked? One solid piece? I like it. Of course I don't have a coast at all, so take my opinion for what it's worth....
Fidgiter, sorry...should have replied to you first. I took 39 or 40 ford accessory front grill guard and made both the front and rear spreaders on the car. Those grille guards had two vertial pieces that bolt to the bumper, then the three bars I used bolt horizontally to those two. Just v-cut the back side of them, stacked em' and welded them together. Cheap way to do something different. Thanks! 32csr
I see that you are pretty sensitive about that spreader bar, maybe it's because deep down you dont really like it either and my posts are reaffirming your su****ions of *******ude. Heres a pic of my Comet, it's not much to look at now (I just bought it) but big changes are happening soon (think Dyno Don). In any case, you need to calm down a little. I never said I thought the whole car ****ed, in fact if you re-read my first post in this thread I said that other than the spreader bar I thought it was cool.
