I see a lot of average to bad reproductions from China, but they are missing the character of the originals and the chrome is pretty ****py.
Are there any good ones being repopped?
    Around 12" diameter or so.

    Thanks,

    Root

  2. I don't recall seeing the larger ones, but some of the Cobra kit car suppliers have the smaller ones that look pretty good.

I saw the ones you are talking about, but they are a little different style.

  4. Those I haven't seen. You're right, the Chinesium copies don't quite look right...

Wolk Designs made what you're after. I don't find a website for them anymore, but this is from their Facebook page. Wolk air cleaner.jpg

I certainly understand your looking for a good USA source, I recently bought a dual 4 bbl air cleaner set from Speedway, the one with the little V8s in the screen, and promptly returned them. They are so obviously Chinese copies that I wouldn’t prominently display them on my car. There was a company making them here in California I think but I misplaced the company name and contact info. I was hoping Speedway was buying from them but it seems not.
Good to see you holding out for the good stuff.

Anyone have any real ones they wanna part with? I looked for Wolk Designs last night, but their webpage is gone. I don't have FB, but I will see what I can find.

Update: It appears they are on the HAMB and from Kansas. If anyone knows their screen name or have a phone number, could you send it to me?

I didn't think so. Unfortunately, no contact info there either.

It does look good in the picture. I wonder what the opening in the bottom looks like, some of the old style air cleaners don’t have enough intake area for modern performance engines.

Umm the "bubble" on top is way too small. Too obvious that it's a poor copy.
I'd not run this if trying to resemble the original.

    Wolk's website has been down for a while... ( wolkdesigns.net )
I'm not sure if they still sell their air cleaners, but will send you James Wolk's phone number to verify.

It doesn’t have to be a dead ringer, although it would be nice. I just don’t want the ones with straight sides and no bell on the lower lip.

Speedway has something very similar (although not polished) which is what I used on my home-made set-up.

I'm not really looking for cast aluminum. I have a certain look I am after. I know what it looks like in my head.

I have one in it's plain box, sitting on a shelf, patiently waiting. It's probably a ****ty Chinese one. I got it from Voldamort a dozen years ago. Looks the same as @pprather posted.
