A long time friend of mine owned this car the early 50's and has wondered if it is still around somewhere. It was built by Coachcraft when the car was new in 1940. Last knowledge of it was in North Texas in the early 50's.

NOTE: I was asked to remove the photos.... stay tuned for some updates soon !!!

Yes, it's still around. Got rebuilt and was in some magazines a couple decades ago. I think it's silver now. I have a fuzzy recollection of seeing it at a NSRA Nationals a couple decades ago.

I'm sure there's a pic of it on the HAMB somewhere. Do a search on Coachcraft or your friend's name.

The owner of the Clarence Solomon 1940 Ford based Coachcraft Custom contacted me a week or so ago. He shared his very nice photos and great photos with us. And his biggest question was.... Can you help me find the current owner of the car he owned from 1955 till 1958.

During this time he had repainted the car and had removed the original Coachcraft tag from the car. He still has the tag and would very much like to give it back to the current owner of the car so that the two can be reunited again after so many years.

So far I have had a few good leads, but unfortunately not the right one to get me in contact with the current owner. But we are still trying. The car has not been seen around to much lately.

Here is a LINK to an article we have created on the Custom Car Photo Archive showing all the photos and the story J.W. shared with us.
