I know they make almost everything under the sun these days, but I have not seen these. Honestly I would prefer to find a nice original body, but I am looking at a reasonably priced body with out the rear section. I know I can buy the deck lid and panel under it. but cannot find the quarters. thanks for any help.
Have you tried Rootlieb? I know they have allot of T body parts. This is a link http://www.rootlieb.com/
Not that I have been able to find in two years. Also, no one makes the panel above the decklid or I haven't found a source. You're pretty much limited to gennie quarters that need repairs, however Howell's now makes the fender wells and drip rails, and the rest is pretty straightforward patch work. The turtle deck quarters are out there, in all conditions, keep looking. Tried Fordbarn? Chckasha OK swap meet? WARNING! DO NOT buy anything from Model T Haven unless you have it in your hands. Very deceptive.
Who makes a GOOD decklid for the '26-'27 roadster? Some that I've seen wouldn't qualify as fair. Frank
The one from Howells appears good. I know some of his other stuff (like 32 truck door skins) are nice. Prices are good. I think I may get a decklid skin. Buying Jakers Roadster body this weekend. Eric
I met a guy In Cali. 2 years ago with a prototype... I have a picture at home on my desktop.. I'll see if I can find it for you ..... Spoons
I have a deck lid from Howell's and have seen thier patch panels. Quality is fair for what you pay I suppose. I have not seen any reproduction turtle deck quarters or even patch panels. I have heard rumors about someone reproducing an entire '26-27 built to original Ford specifications. But so far it is just a rumor. I have an extra turtle deck but it is in real sad shape. You would have to contact MilesM here on the HAMB if you are interested in it though.
speakin of body pieces that you own but arent the caretaker for. . . i waved "by by" to your fenders yesterday holmes... they are safe and sound in the comfy confine's of a GMC Yukon pushing a LARGE RV phoenix bound from minnesota as we speak...
There is an e-bay store that is selling panels for Model T to 40 Ford stuff. I ran across it yeterday looking for 27 Ford sheetmetal. Its called: 09-40 Ford Sheet Metal
