I have a 1940 Ford 2 door sedan nearing completion. I would like to install a set of old school chrome bumpers that used to be called nerf bars. They looked like the outline of a regular bumper only they were made of about 3/4" tubing and then plated. Does any one know a shop that still makes them?

Yeah, make your own. If you cant aford to chrome it polish it and clear coat it, at least it will look decent until you save up 4 chrome.

If you live close to the coast, find a shop that builds T-tops for center console fishing boats. Bet they can make anything you want.

    Good Luck

Plenty of shops will still make them, I've done a couple of them.

In my opinion the best all-time nerf on a forty was Bob McCoy's.
