I used to live in Columbus and near the Jegs store and knew where to go when I needed headers or a carb or shifter etc. Now I'm in Denver and the only place I know thats in town is Streamline or a couple salvage yards..I'd order from Summit but need the parts to do the work this weekend and with the holiday on thursday I dunno if they can get here in time.Stumbled on a deal for a 390 with a c6 for my truck so I need a decent floor shifter for the automatic, a 2 or 4 barrel carb(got both intakes in the deal), and ideally a set of fe headers that arent gonna break me.I've done some research and have been told by a few people the autolite 4100 is a kick ass carb for toolin around til the cam and stuff can be done any body have any comment on that?If your here and have what i need it would be appreciated lemme know.

Welcome to Denver. DrDano has a q-jet on his FE and it works great, you should be able to find one of those pretty easily. For the shifter, try VAPHEAD but a c-6 might be too new for him to keep in stock. Maybe try On Track. FE headers, probably won't find them locally. I could bend and build them for you but it'd be pricier than buying off the shelf. What kinda truck is this for?

  3. Welcome to the Mile High City!
What kind of car/truck do you have?
    Where are you located?

I'm sure we can get you some headers by the weekend!
If nothing else some old headers and a box of j bends to make your own.

Ditto: On-Track they are a speed shop off of Sante Fe and Dartmouth (Englewood). They also have a used parts shelf.

Englewood (downtown) hosts a variety of gear head speed shops!

Start there or look up auto machine shops or 4x4 shops for your area at http://www.dexonline.com

PM me I know some ford people.

Nice truck, vic. If you can get ahold of some old headers and want to modify them to fit your truck, let me know. I have some extra bends lying around and we can always mandrel-bend and weld up some more if you need help. That'll get you going and still save you some $.

Mike, that's a great list. I didn't know about the truck parts place.

    Hey Vic,

On Track Performance for the headers and Denver Specialty Center for the shifter.

I second Denver Specialty Center, good group of guys and they seem to know there stuff a little better than Streamline (depending on who you talk to at Streamline)
