Does nobody want 16 " wire wheels anymore?

    16 inch ford wires are on my avatar and my 30 pickup, still have some in the garage and still buy them if I see nice ones at a reasonable price. Someone is always asking if I know where they can find a set, even the 17 and 18 inch wires are in use, a friend of mine has 16 on the front and 17 on the rear of his Model A pickup.

    17s and 18s are harder to find because everybody threw them away, welded them into decorative fences, and jackstands and replaced them with 16s. Their availability goes up 5 or 6 at a time as restored cars get turned into hotrods.

    Sounds like someone was trying to get some cheap wheels from you.
     
  9. I don't want some but if you like 'em and traditional is your game I would suggest that they are worth keeping. You could toss them then try to replace them if you want to find out for sure.
