.... Andrew, your meteoric rise in the metal arts entitles you to a pair of well-earned brass balls with this latest installment. The fenders and rings look fantastic Dude.....

  12. A little progress yesterday. Getting the first one pretty much done was the easy part, getting the passenger side to look the same took a bit of swearing...

Still have to do lots of fine tuning and finishing.

  13. Looking forward to see the new look when you can push it out and get away from it a bit.

  14. Well done Andrew. You are really knocking this one out.

  18. Tell me about it. Not done yet. Nope, not done yet. Not on the road yet. Not much progress yet. More bodywork, more bodywork...

  19. I threw some rattlecan primer on there just so I could get a good visual without the distraction of the bare metal and weld marks...

I'm not 100% happy with the results so far. Pics make them look a bit better than reality. I'm going to mull this over for a few days, might make a change or two.

  25. I know this is going to sound dumb to a lot of you guys. I am fooling with a '40 Ford now. But have been a Chrysler guy for a long time. May have been too far out of the loop for this. But could someone tell me why these cars are called shoebox's.

Slabsided like a shoebox. This is the same for the 55-57 Chevys also. If you compare these models to the previous body style you will see why

  27. Thanks, my uncle is a Ford guy and couldn't tell me for sure how this came about.

The peaks on the hood and fenders look great. Do you plan to do anything in the inner area of the headlight to fender. The sharp line stands out like a sore thumb to me. Keep up the good work.
