Measure the center of the two bottom holes and I can measure my t5 I have laying on my backbench it won't tell you for 100 percent sure but if it's drilled to wide witch it looks like it might be it'll never fit. If it's made like that for a reason that's just a piss poor design. On another not tho if they give you your money back I'd be interested in buying it from you if it's a flathead to t5 adapter. It can be fixed most likely but if I were you I'd want it free or a new one being as you bought it new.

By the looks of the other holes locations, I would think that the hole in question wouldn't even line up properly....... just my 1.95 cents worth! :)

Before you outright send it back you should check a few things; The quality control is suspect with the bolt hole positioning so how is the rest of the bell housing, does it bolt up to motor perfectly, is the hole for the trans bearing collar centered (I would use a dial indicator) and finally does it bolt up to the transmission ( I know you don't have it yet). If thats an off shore manufactured housing the replacement could be as bad as the one you have. So check all the points of concern before you call them up and complain, know exactly what your complaint is when stating your case. Good Luck.

Wow, that's ****ty work right there. I wouldn't run that. Did you check and see if the bolt holes even match up to your trans? That one almost looks like it was drilled in the wrong location.

It would probably be alright if you use a stud in that hole. Still, when you pay good money for this stuff, you expect good quality.

It looks like an error when the adaptor was re-cast. (I've had a number of those, they were originally cast from a 1 ton Ford truck 'hogshead'.)

Trouble is, when re-popped adaptors are used for 'bucks', the shrinkage that occurs in the sand boxes is sometimes not accounted for. (this one may be a 'third generation'!)
Measure the width of the casting, outboard of the holes when you measure the distance of the holes themselves.
The 'footprint' of the other holes seems to be centered, as with most Chev pattern adaptors.
If that hole is drilled in the correct pattern, the casting has...shrunken.

tiredford is correct: any time you run thin on 'meat', subs***ute a stud. (and blue Loc***e)

Guys used to bootleg Moon gas pedals in high school...I wore a size 9 shoe back then, so I never noticed my 'New Moons' were smaller than the gennies! Fit me fine!
But the one I've had for years (bought it from Dean Moon himself!) is a size 12.
We used to see them at Turlock, (mid '70s) and I'd always measure them. Lots of small ones!

I'll call the supplier tomorrow and send him a picture as well. The way I see it, it has to be correct from the get go because it has to support a lot of weight due to the fact that the motor mounts are so far forward on a flathead. And I really doubt if the holes will line up. I'll post the outcome of this when I know something. Thanks to everyone for all the reply's.
