    You work, you make a mess. Not a big deal to put away tools and sweep the floor, we generally do it after we finish a certain project or phase before moving to the next. Probably not as much as we should but often enough.
    What drives me nuts is the parts, both what is off a car while your building + the privite stash of used parts you gather for "some day". I tend to be borderline horder on the last part. Seems they just get stacked around and besides looking cluttered they make it tougher to clean. After 30 years I finally have a shop that isn't a problem, I have a 2000 sq ft warehouse area behind my 2000 sq ft shop area. All parts, big tools your not using, ect go in the warehouse part, makes the shop area much, much easier to keep neat and professional looking. My customers get to see the showroom and shop area but not the admittedly messy storeroom.

    You're supposed to put your tools away when you're done working, but if real hot rods are never done...............
