Art & Inspiration Does This Mean Anything?

I just noticed I have twice as many Likes as I have Posts. What can I say? It's a slow news day here in Connecticut while it is snowing outside.

I don't think much of it, I'm surly, sarcastic just don't have much good to say and I have far to many likes.

I looked at mine just for a hoot, and my number of likes are almost exactly half of my 4780 posts.

 

I have discovered that the more people I unfollow the more popular I am. Go figure.

 

Likes didn't exist until the site was redone several years ago.

The folks who post a lot of pictures get a lot of likes....go figure.

 

I guess being the class clown back in school may have something to do with it. Like I said A Slow News Day.

 

It means they like you personally twice as much as they like to hear from you!....

That is true but I think it is OK. Some photos fit in more than one thread. I know I miss lots of threads and I am sure most of us on the HAMB do.

 

This prompted me to check on 2 things! first- I didn't know it was snowing out until I just poked my head out of the windowless laboratory I work in, and second, I've got almost 3 times as many likes on my lowly 300something posts. I take this to mean people like to watch other people's bad choices of buying and working through rot boxes!

The more posts you have, the less likely you are to have more likes than posts. Even HRP has fewer likes than posts. I suspect that members who post regularly in long-running threads get most of their likes in those threads.
Likes strike me as one of the more FB-like parts of the HAMB, i.e. pointless.
Since no one has said it, I will: 'You Like Me! You Really Like Me!'

To me this is a form of acknowledging at a minimum you have read and may extend furthur in also agreeing with what you are reading or seeing.

Also form of Thanking for many types of sharing details and subjects. Without likes Threads would possibly be longer but that said many times a written response supersedes the Like...

I like Likes and extend likewise...

Kind of a Handshake and @SR100 I very well look at many here as Friends...and even had the privilege of meeting some Hamb Hoodlums...

Put another way I thank the Membership for the Comradery in Hotrod/Custom...and that includes You Thank You...
