not nearly enough custom corvettes... this one believe it or not is a 1953! and far better looking than a stocker.

Beauty is in the eye of the beer holder. It takes much less beer for you than it does me to see the beauty in that.
Not everyone likes the same thing, which is good. I’m not a purist, I’m a hot rodder, but I can appreciate some things custom done. That’s what’s great, we can agree to disagree, or at least I hope we can!

In this day and age that vette could be put back too 100% or kustomized easily. Either way I wouldn’t mind being the proud new owner!

I remember decades back 'vettes were often stolen BECAUSE the parts were worth more than the whole.
I don't play in that neighborhood of car stuff, but I'd guess that it is still true.
I'd rather see it fixed, but the owner or insurance probably isn't going to get hurt if it's parted properly, not just sent to copart.

This is a serious question. Is that grille from a Studebaker Lark?

tubman, the vette grille is peaked top to bottom. Doubt that's the one used.

Looks more like a Hawk grille.

I'm surprised there's a question as to whether that car is fixable, it looks like it just needs a front clip, some wiring and probably some top end engine stuff. I'd consider that an easy fixer.

And I'm all-in on the canted quad cars, too. Although if I was actually going to do one, I'd have bought the one that was in the classifieds a few years ago, the one with the grille bar that was such a mystery it took like a year to ID it. That car had history to go with the custom work, which makes it all the better in my book. I really hope there's a restoration ongoing for that one.

The red 53 is a nice looking car. Quite a few of the canted headlight customs were monstrosities...

Well, since it's damaged, gray primer, steelies with pie crusts in the back and TT's up front & the I beam trick to get it up a little (sorry Anthony!). 301 sbc with a pair of AFBs.

  22. Don’t care , the haters can hate ! Early ‘Vettes lend themselves nicely to stacked quads and being customized !!

the grill treatment leaves something to be desired in my eye . But the rest of the mods are damn near perfect !!

If the grill was left stock size and filled with 53 Chevy grill teeth I think it would set the car off perfectly !!
