Didn't see your video - but a nice M5/235 Maule will do it easily, the plane is STOL and it takes a pilot that knows what to do. I had an M5 for two years - best bush plane ever (for non-airtaxi work anyway). You cannot load them up with five outboard motors, three fisherman and a months supply of grub and have a 30ft takeoff roll.

  4. Awesome! The video I saw, it sounded like a Nitrous blast at the initial "hit" of the throttle. In less than 2 feet, the rear wheel was 2 feet in the air

  5. A Cessna 150/152 will get off in a short roll, but it takes a Maule to do it in 30'.
(They are available with a turbine engine.)

A Pilatus Porter does well as an STOL (Short Take Off Landing) and especially well in making very steep approaches with it's Beta control prop system.
Beta meaning that the prop can be twisted far enough that it would back the plane up if it was on the ground.

Prop in Beta, full flaps, a bit of throttle and on approach you're looking at mostly asphalt....

I know the super cubs(?) can do it. They used them for bush recoveries for people who were lost or had problems in the wilderness.
