Family business was trucking, I went to engineering school. . .

Until Oct 2007 designed the machines and tooling that built most of the world's automotive timing and transmission chain and sprockets.

Since Nov. 2007, some of the stuff I deal with goes really fast and keeps an eye on everybody.

I tell my momma I play piano in a whorehouse- I don't want her to know my real job, she'd disown me.
I try to figure out how to keep the oil in the pipe which involves all sorts of esoteric NDT methods and thousands of miles of rusty old pipe that's not easy to get to. A bit upstream I suppose, but it's applicable. Prior to this I was a pipe welder, specializing in the online application of pressure containing sleeves.

I get to buy and play with a lot of cool shit. Really expensive cool shit.

I work at a DHL logistics warehouse as a security officer, prior to that I was a car mechanics for 20 years 8too f/%#ing long). Best part was crewing on a pro stock car for 15 years (weekend work). Damn I miss dragracing.

  22. I'm the asst. mngr of an RV hauling company (family biz), which means I do everything from getting paperwork sent to customs for clearing loads to maintaining the company fleet (6 of our own diesel pick-ups). Got slow the winter before last and started an off-road shop (running out of the same shop) to help bring in a little extra cash flow. But my true passion, (which I've been doing part-time for the last 5 years), and "wish it was my full time job" is designing/illustrating hot rods, or pretty much anything automotive. Oh to dream.
I guess I'm pretty wrapped up in the transportation industry.

  23. I'm a product designer working in the Toy Industry. Not car related much, but i am working on some kid bikes at the moment...transportation count?
