Does your wife/girlfriend like the hotrod scene

she didn't so i sent her packin' oh and she was a bitch

 

Wife loves Hot Rods.....we have been outta the cruise scene for a couple years with new house, little girl and then the special HAMB build last year...but she loves it. What make it even better is that my 7yr old girl thinks Hot Rods are great... The wife bought me parts on many occassions...even a nice set of coated Lake Headers....

 

My Wife is not a big fan but my Girlfriend is

 

My first X said" you hang out with a bunch of old men and Mexicans" and "you love those old race cars more than you love me" ah... right, right, and right. The current wife and I just got back from Bonneville. she got a nice tan.

 

My wife has been driving our hot rods, going to car shows, swap meets and other car related things for almost 45 years. I have one daughter that is into street rods, the other two could care less.

 

She would only like them if I got her a 65 Mustang Conv.........

My wife of 18 years loves old iron, she helped her dad redo his '46 chevy pu when she was 16. She loves my projects, encourages me to work on them and digs the art I create. We enjoy being together and that means alot of car and bike events.
If I didn't have a girl that was into cars and bikes I would be single!

Good Lord, I definitely need to change my search patterns then.

My girlfriend isn't really that into it, she will ride in the cars( the 62 Merc she has now claimed for hers!) She will hit some stuff, but she respects it's my thing I do and enjoy.

 

My wife told me I love my car more than her. I told her not to be stupid.........I love you both the same !

 

I am a wife. I am very much into the car scene just as my hubby Humboldt Cat is. We go to shows together & sometimes work on the hot rods together also. We even help host a few local car shows. My 15 year old daughter loves them too.

 

'I am one of the luckiest guys on earth,,,my wife loves hot rods as much as I do.

After 37 years we still enjoy shows together.

It is a rare sight to see me at a show without Mrs. HRP and I like it that way! HRP '

That's Cool , I am the same with my wife , we met through the cars and she built her own Model A Roadster with her Dad and it is a lot better than I will ever build. We go to a lot of runs and have many miles on both cars . Always havin' a ball.

My wife is stoked on my hotrod profession/obsession.

She even gets mad when people ask her about her husbands r@t rod shop. hahahaha. She even went into detail explaining the difference between real hotrods and rodents.

My wife says I can't sell any of them, even the ones I want to. Oh well, I guess. She won't drive em though.

 

Girlfriends love what you love till they become wives. Although some wives who appreciate their guy will put up with the cars. So says confucious. He's single.

The wife didn't, but she is now history. The new girlfriend likes the scene I think, she likes "pretty cars" (usually curvy kustoms).

Only trouble is she is a bank manager so spending any money on my truck gets questioned. And trying to explain why I have a broken ProMod piston on the fireplace is just too difficult!

 

the ex wife thought of rods and kustoms as fashion accessories only... but hey she is the ex...
My wife loves classic cars... I did however have to break her of her love of the camaro she had when we first met... lol
she isn't stoked however on my lack of love for the current car... but hey , i can't please all the people all the time... i mean our son agrees with me that shoeboxes are cooler than 55 buicks... the wife argues that he is 4 and his opinion doesn't count as much as hers.... lol

 

My wife has no passion for them what so ever, sure wish she did, but she doesn't

 

my girl like the classics she was raised around them she was an old muscle car like a chevelle she was real excited when i bought this truck and started it this is the first think ive bought that she hasnt yelled and me for and told me i should have saved my money i guess its a good thing then lol

 

My wife doesn't care. SHE's into her movies. That's her hobby. She hasn't drove one of my cars.

 

my wife is in to mucle cars-trans ams to be exact,so when we go to car shows a suffer the the muscle car row and she suffers throught the b hot rods,she doesnt mind the time i spend in the garage so long as i help out arond the house -laundry ect

 

The wife loves going to the drag strip, but not the shows. She says I know to many people and can't walk more than 10 feet without someone stopping me to talk.
As far as the money I spend on cars and parts, any money that is made in the garage stays in the garage. This is a deal we made before I married her.

 

my wife hates me, hot rods and any thing to do with hot rods. but other than that, we get along great!!

I just wish my brain was younger so I could retain everyting Woody tells
me Its the greatest hobby and pass time that I wish we had more time
and money to devote to. I have been achin for a truck and every one I see
is beyond our means, or beyond the scope of help without time and money
involved Wish I had gone to Vo-Tech ...Wish I had had a chance to drive
a rail job....Wishes....But I am happy with our ride and all involved, and goin
to shows and parts stores with my best bud and hubby Woody
