  1. For all my fans out there...... here is my newest fan!

A trip to the hardware store for a 44mm hole saw, then a few minutes with the drill to get to this stage.
    IMG_20220602_161227.jpg

Over to the tig welding table to glue on the stubs.
    IMG_20220602_180130.jpg

All welded up it was time for a finishing touch of black primer to protect it.

So all ready to mount on the inside of the firewall and run a couple of wires from the switch, hoses from the engine and ducting to the windscreen vents.

Great job! Is the heater/fan unit newly available or is it a rebuilt old one? Good ideas all over! I may steal a few from you as my wife keeps informing me that her old MG heater that I put in her 52 Suburban isnt just doing it…could have guessed that before, haha

  3. I am pretty sure it came from a bus. It is 24 volt but still runs fine on 12 volts.

  4. I had a visit from my son today. He came baring gifts...... Well he dropped of the Sanderson headers that I left in Auckland to get ceramic coated. This will last a whole lot better than the silver exhaust paint that was on them. IMG_20220604_170446.jpg

  5. Another quiet day today, but I did make a trip into town to hunt down a bargain. I found an electric bread knife to use for shaping the upholstery foam. After which it was pointed out to me that we have one in the drawer in the kitchen! Never mind, now I have one in the shop too!

  6. A trip to the tyre shop was the order of the day. Prior to going I put insulation tape on the bead edges to try and prevent any paint damage through the process of getting the tyres over the edge. I left all the necessary bits at the shop, because no one ever enjoys having a customer looking over their shoulder while they work.
When I returned, with the obligitory box of coronas for the team, the only damage to the paint was from removing the tape I applied to prevent paint damage! Gotta love irony!

Otherwise they all look pretty shit hot I think! The paint damage was very minor so I won't be losing any sleep over it.

A full set of wheel nuts was organised, these will not be visible after the smoothie chrome caps go on.
More than happy with the appearance of the wide-white-wheel-tyres on the car.
With no engine in at present, the car sits a bit higher than it will when done.
    Thoughts?

  7. Looks great to me and will be cool with the caps on.

  8. I also had a call from the courier company today, my electric wiper drive has arrived. I will pick up in the morning.
    Stay tuned.......
