Great story, I had a chance to talk to Garlits in 1969, then 30 years later we were racing at the CHHR, we got down there a few days early and Don was there with one of his cars and some memorabilia he was selling, so I had a chance to talk with him again, I was amazed, he hadn't changed a bit, still a humble, gentle speaking man that seemed genuinely interested in what I was saying, As if I was someone important. Some of todays "legends " should take lessons from Mr. Garlits..
yup i sure have tons of respect for mr garlits...its a cool thing that mr bob woods knows he gets recognition and imortalized by mr garlits great act of kindness...also the money goes straight to mr woods estate.....this is the state of bob woods now...thats steve magnante showing him pics of his car being loaded on to garlits trailer..with the mooneyham n sharp 34....
