Looking for help.I installed comp cam and lifters 232-4 280 480 in my 318.The plan was to break it in than install it in my 360 next year. The problim is it has a tick and comp say I need different pushrods and adjustable rockers to get the right preload ,is this true.My thinking is now to pull it out and install a new cam that I cam reuse my stock pushrods and rockers.I still would like to slide the new cam into my 360 down the road, thing is I dont want to play with adjustable valve train. The 360 will be stock comp, headers, duelplane intake.4 barell holley 600,3000 stall with 355 gear.Could someone find me the right cam. Thanks Don.P.Here is a pic of my dart.
Welcome, nice looking Dart. I had a light metallic green one with the dark green vinyl top and white interior
hey DON...listen to the people who made the cam! but i'am sure you will need adjustable rockers, and they should know about the pushrods! i'am wondering about a cam fitting a 318 working in a 360? NO! i'am not a MOPAR man. man you can't ask to many questions! that's how you stay out of trouble. YES? good luck...POP.
thanks, the vote is for adjustable rockers just had to many cheveys and adjusting rockers rockers can be a pain.still back in the day i could slide a cam in have no problims.
Hey Don. I might steer you to a "local" in our area and a Mopar nut through and through. I'll P.M you the info, couldn't hurt to ask him, he builds engines for a living!!! That is ofcourse if your in Belleville Ont. Canada
