I have dealt with Don off and on since 1975. Always a fair honest man. he gove me a few tours of the niles stash when I was still living there. His prices IMO were always fair. I stumbled across this thread by googling his name. Glad to hear he is still with us but sad to hear of his encounter. I'd hang them from the nearest tree with no questions asked and invite the entire town of Niles to watch.
I left the bay area 17 years ago and can only hope that hey have been able to preserve their 1950's atmosphere. I will pray for a speedy recovery for Don who has been a bleesing to all that have known him. DAMN i wish I would've been there with a loaded 12 Guage. ARRGH!!!
Hopefully someone will take a printing of this to him and it will help him recover and know how much he is and has been appreciated

Hey Von Franco remember me???? I'll bet not and understand why :). i do still have your decorated air cleaner lid on the 38. OK a few subtle hints there LMAO

I can't believe this BS - I have been going to Don's place since I was kid with my dad. I still go to Don's with my kids. Don is a cool old timer and is a welath of knowledge. I wish that I was around to give Don a hand and give those *******s a can of whoop***.

It would be nice if we could kep this active and somehow contact the prosecutor / judge that will be presiding over the hearings, anyone have any ideas how to go about this???? letters coming in from various areas of the country could stiffen the sentence. Hmm a nice thought would be to post bail for them and then alleviate the need for a trial
