    Yup it's expensive... But....

    A) it's being produced in the first place.

    B) how many do ya think he's gonna sell?

Besides, how much would originals cost ya?

Well I'm starting my oil pan fund right now! Hope he's still making them when I have enough saved up to buy them.

Just a bit of a sidenote about the Don Orosco oil pan. I have seen the original Italmeccania oil pan before Don Orosco purchased it, and it is a truly striking and remarkable piece. I remember seeing it at Don Broyle's shop in Dayton Ohio in the mid 1990's. He had it under a 59A flathead motor he had built, with polished Evans heads and two deuce intake. It was in his showroom and I remember when I saw that oilpan I stopped dead in my tracks. I had never seen anything like that before. It had Italmeccania stamped on it somewhere. At that time the oilpan was definitely not for sale. About a year later I went back to Don Broyle's in Dayton and the oilpan was gone. Don Orosco had flown in to Broyle's place and purchased the oilpan. I would imagine he would have to paid dearly for it. It is the only original I have ever seen and I don't know if another original Italmeccania oilpan exists. These Orosco oilpans would look just excellent underneath any built flathead.

  5. Some day I shall have one of those oil pans.
