Look out ladies, it's done! My first bike build from start to finish and today I'm the proud pappa of a murderously loud ride that'll send any old lady with half a decible of hearing left running... First, I gotta thank my buddy Matt, johnnygringo and Truth... without whom this project wouldn't be where it is... Also, I gotta thank '65Caddyman for the pin-striping... I don't share a whole lot,,, usually just lurk and ask some dumb questions so you'll have to forgive the off-topic nature of this post (although I know a lot of guys have Trumps), I just figured I'd show you guys what has kept me sane and with a modi*** of belief that I can build something since the hunk of **** I call a car (my '55 ford wagon) keeps knocking me down... Started life like this,,,(just imagine the stock gas tank)
man that and you are what it is ALL about raw determination and making the best of what you got I can't wait to see your builds ten yrs from now big ups man..looks kill
Wow, sweet. I saw the first picture and thought, "I guess that's pretty cool. Looks like he only changed the gas tank, but he's excited, so good for him." Then I scrolled down to find the AFTER pictures. HA! Silly me. Look like you did a damn fine job.
i didnt' realize he did striping! I might just have to get in touch with him pretty soon. Bike looks killer......
ken... I'll be at HRW for sure with the bike... and maybe my car if it'll make it... gringo... THANKS! Thanks for the kind words... Tim
I'm an idiot, but looks like you might slide back off the seat... shouldn't the seat be further back? School me...
Looks good. I just got off my *** and took my Pile-O-Parts(tm) to a friend's garage to be ***embled into a chopper. Hope mine turns out as well as yours..and as quickly! Spike
