headlights look crosseyed, taillights look like hemerrhoids, wheels make me nauseous along with the billet sticking outta the engine bay...but...DAMN that paint is killer man, don't know what it looked like before but you must really have put some time in there.

It funny that the car was posted in previous threads during the painting stages and did not get this much drama until post #4 of this thread. Let me get it straight about this car it was built over 15 yrs ago ( not by me ) and I had nothing to do with the custom headlights & frenched tail lights. Oh yea don't forget the suicide doors too & tweed interior!! Let's see someone did take time to work those lights into the stock fenders ..you do it then you all can talk. WTF did you all have 15 yrs ago

Bill did a awesome job and I would recommend him for paint to anyone. Next stop the interior shop for trad tuck and roll .. In closing I did paid for both paint job and interior..

Let the bashing continue on this non- traditional car ..........

LOL, keep telling him that. Those exact buckets are on the late 50's vw bugs as well. (Not 911, note the black hole at the bottom behind the glass where a little bulb should be for the parking/running light. However, it does have fluted lenses ala 911).

Actually, I think they look pretty good on a street rod. I'm surprised.

Body and Paint is excellent. I'd take that car if somebody gave it to me.

Very nice paint. The headlights look like they are sliding off the front of the car to me.

The paint and body work look perfect!
Now why would anyone take a car built in the 80's and not change it back to something more traditional??
    Was this a 37-38??
I didn't like customized integrated headlights during the streetrod years. Yikes..

  17. Isn't that a way of saying they're "66 and older VW bug" and making them sound like they're expensive and high-end instead?

I don't care for the look either, but another set of fenders, some stock lights and a grille insert would make that car look pretty good.

I like the grill insert. I think it's an improvement over stock. The stocker certainly is no 36 Ford or Lincoln Zephyr.

Funny that Don Moyer's easter egg got tons of love when he changed the '80s style but left the tweed interior! The paint is nice and I don't care for the wheels, stance, or head/tail lights but hey, it's your car and it was cool to meet you at Autorama this year. Keep at it and drag the**** on this beeaach!
