I'm curious to know what kind of sticker was stuck to your seat. Maybe that could be a clue?...

 

maybe, unless it was a 7th annual 2008 pileup sticker, there were a million of them there.

Denise and Aaron, thanks for the pictures. I'll have to try to make it next year. It would make a nice fall event to keep the juices flowing during the winter.

 

Your event stories always seem to bring out the best from everyone and clearly you are a master at bringing people together in a very positive way. Again, well done!

Great thread Denise! I had an awesome time with everyone! Cadillac Bob, your house is very cool and thanks for your hospitality. Aaron, we are both taking our cars next year AND getting drunk together Friday night, I'm tired of being the Designated Driver for your drunk asses. The weather was spectacular this year also, which was a welcomed change.

Great coverage as always. Thanks for the kind words. It was my first Pile Up but certainly won't be my last. It was a very special event, one that I won't soon forget. I enjoyed seeing you again, even if it was for just a couple of minutes here and there! I met a bunch of great new people, (Jeff, Erin, Andrew) who I look forward to visiting with again. Got to know some others better, (Bob, Nick) which was cool. Rashy and Bullitproof made the trip a hoot. (Twenty hours driving does tend to help solidify friendships!) Detroit in March? You know, most people plan to go south in March. But when I think about it, there's nothing I would like better. Ya never know!

Good job of summing up the weekend. I think you got a good photo of everyone there and most of the best cars. This is a great post to show just how much fun this weekend is!

 

If you and the boys need a place to crash for Autorama to make the trip more affordable I'll make room for you down at my folks place. Plenty of beds and couchs down there.

As long as you guys promise not to puke in Big Olds I'll drive your drunk asses back to the hotel.

Don't forget, bash is at my place on that Saturday night of Autorama weekend.

It did feel really wierd driving across I94 and I80 without you sitting next to me.....the positive note on the situation is I could listen to whatever CD I wanted, even American Pie over and over again.

You were noticably missed sweetheart. Just doesn't seem the same partying with the Omaha crew without you there.

Well one of these days I'll come out for the Scottsdale event and when that happens I except to find you with a nametag that reads Dick.

I love reading little anidotes like this and it's one of the main reasons I really enjoy writing adaventure stories. I love the feedback that turns up. Yes, that is the water tower in Morris, IL, right off the freeway. If you PM me your Grandmothers old address next Sept, I will drive by and take a few photos for you of her house and neighboorhood.

Dangit! Denise, you done did it again! Helluva writeup and pics- but that's what we expect of you... I wish I coulda been there, but had four other events to compete for my attention. I will see you at the Rust Revival for sure- bring plenty of cookies. I get Breeder's share, too; he'll be too drunk to know. Glad to see Big Olds on the road- you have a fine, unique rod.
