Just got home from a Sunday-morning grocery-gettin' trip. The checkout lines were peopled with memory-deficient guys holding really cheesy-looking flower arrangements and tacky heart-shaped metalized balloons. The guy in line in front of me looks to have hit a home-run, with a large size aerosol can of whip cream and a couple of packs of D-size batteries . . .

    I aint got no mama

  6. Yeah, I've got a restaurant filled with Moms today. Hope they don't trash the joint, they tend to get pretty unruly after a couple of Mimosas. [IMG]

My Mom has put up with a lot of***** from me and my Dad over the years, but she's always ridden shotgun, always taken photos at events and filled the scrapbooks with car photos and captions, and always tolerated a house full of car paraphernalia and a garage full of projects.

She's got Alzheimer's Disease now, which is a tough pill to swallow, but she's still my Mom.

Paul -- You can count on most of those guys buying flowers and such for their wives. Not sure how that all got started, but most wives expect it of their husbands.

all women are potential mothers, the women in my life deserve the best I can possibly give.

..there is no "wife's day" or "daughter's day"...

I was a single dad and raised a son and daughter, my daughter calls ME on mother's day [IMG]

  10. This is my first mothers day without my mom. Feels empty. Don't ever miss a chance to let her know how much she means to you.

We went to a nice brunch (once again) at a local golf course. (Not that ANY of us golf, or could indulge in the lifestyle a lot of people there do), but for the money, the amount of food you could have was un-believeable. Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner, and Desert...all in once place! It would rival a brunch on a cruise ship. It's becoming a mother's day tradition in our family, to have reservations there for Mother's day, we (my dad, Me & My Sis) take Ma and Grandma there for brunch. It was especially special this year, as Mom is about 1/2 way thru her chemo and radiation treatments due to colon cancer. She is doing very well, and we're all hopeful for a full recovery- (she's only 56)...She looked GREAT, felt GOOD, and we all had a nice time. What more could you ask for?

Happy Mother's Day to all the Mothers out there on & related to people who use, the HAMB. Without you, there would be no HAMB (think about it)... [IMG]
