To be completely stock you need to:
paint the grill vermilion to match the rest of the truck
paint the head light rings body color
unpaint the Ford script on the tail gate
swap the 41 radiator for a 40 radiator
install an original coil
paint the hinge mount rear view mirror arms black
get an earlier fuel pump without the glass bowl

I don't think I'd bother with any of this. Well I'd probably paint the grill red, I like them better that way.

Honestly, I would drop it 2-3 inches up front, then drive the piss out of it. Beautiful truck though.

I have a '41 too and it will remain stock as it came off the assembly line. I have the engine and trans done now just haven't installed it yet. Next 2000 hrs of weld, grind, sand, and paint the body....

I hope mine will look as good as yours, what inspiration!

im usally the first person to say hot rod that stocker, but that is as close to perfection as ive ever seen.
i wouldnt change a thing about it.

Alloy heads, dual carbs on a period manifold and headers would make it 100 percent perfect imho.

Leave it as it is and it's still 98 percent!

 

I don't think that they were that pretty when new, don't change a thing if you don't want to, its beautiful, feel free to leave it in my driveway anytime
