Dont use photo bucket, it seems to delete your photos after a certain amount of time. Iv'e seen many older posts here and people post there photos only to have a message stating this image has been removed or deleted. Im sure this has been mentioned here a thousand times but it sucks when you want to see some good pics only to find that message. With that said, how to re size your photos. 1. go to your photo album to find the pick you want, don't open it instead right click it and you'll see a list of options, 1 of which will be open with, chose open with paint, your photo will open up. 2. at the top left click on image, you'll have another list of options, chose re-size/skew. 3. there will be a box that opens up that says re-size and have horizontal and vertical choices. it starts at 100% meaning that's the full size of the pic. disregard the skew part at the bottom. 4. if you want your pic to be 1/2 the size of the original type in 50 on the horizontal and 50 on the vertical and click ok. 5. close the paint window and it will say do you want to save the changes, click yes. 6. your done. Now you can upload you smaller pic onto the forum,if the pic is still too big you can repeat this again and it will shrink it evn more. my camera takes huge photos and I usually go from 100% down to 20% and they com out a nice size for the forum.
thegrappler - Photobucket does not delete any pics ... the user has either renamed, moved, or deleted the image from their Photobucket album. NOTE: the same issue can happen with other photo sharing sites (e.g., flickr, Fotki, Picasa, etc.) Microsoft PAINT will work for resizing images ... but isn't available to HAMBers using Apple Mac computers. Although I sometimes use MS PAINT to resize images, I'd really recommend using the software that came with your digital camera or scanner to resize your image(s) to a filesize that will upload to the to the HAMB ... and then attach it/them to your post.
