not to start some bias vs radial thing but everyone who is pro bias ply lives in southern california or arizona or someplace it don't snow. i live in MA and my wife says she won't let the kids in the car if i run em and i need some positive feedback that says i ain't gonna end up flipped over in a snowbank so i like some one's input that runs bias tires in the snow and all year round on their daily driver.
I really think you want to start this discussion again. Why would anyone want to instead Biasplys on a daily??? If your talking about your hot rod its one thing. If your looking for a safer route for your daily driver ...there is a reason why we changed over to radials in the 70's.
I run radials on everything I've got. That being said, people drove on bias tires in all sorts of weather for at least the first 70 years of automobiles. If they're not old and cracked, and have good tread, drive on them if you want.
It's always the other guy you got to worry about when driving in the snow! but I've never met him ......maybe it's me and my bias plys
my personal experience with my car- but I couldn't get my A coupe to spin out in about 6" of snow. Handled well enough, stopping is another matter, just plan for the extra distance like you would in any car. The skinny pizza cutters are the best thing for the snow, puts all the weight on one little patch, no floatation= good control on slick pavement. Stay outta the gas and I think it'll be fine
