Does anyone know if the hinges are adjustable on these 1938-1947 Ford COEs? I need to raise the door up 1/16". I also have a gap issue to correct, but I need the whole door raised to match the body lines.

I didn't want to go through the task of drilling out the hinge bolts to adjust the doors if there is no adjustment in them. Once the door is adjusted, I will reevaluate the door gap issue.

Here is the truck with the door chopped. I really like these proportions.

Are you using the special washers that install right behind the head of the hinge screws?

The chop looks fantastic and those fenders look pretty good to. :)
I just pulled my doors and hinges recently. I'll look tonite to see if they adjust. I think the plate with the threads in the pillar moves.

No, the holes are in a fixed position. There is no adjustment up or down. If you don't want to drill out the hinges, you could grind some off the bottom of the body portion of the hinge and add a bronze washer to the top of the hinge (basically sandwiched between the door and body hinge). This will lift the door up by the thickness of the bronze washer.
