After installing the anti-rattle felts in the 1941 doors, I realized that any rain I subject the truck to will not stay out of the doors like it might on a modern rubber gasket setup. I think a fair amount will end up in the doors. There are no obvious drains in the newly painted doors. Any solution to this other than drilling a hole at the lowest point to let any water out that might get in there?

  2. Every door (even modern stuff) has to have some sort of drain. Drilling is about the only way if there isn't some other factory drain.

With great trepidation, I drilled holes in the bottom of both doors....... and got some paint in the holes...

  4. In my wood framed Autocar doors, they mounted lengths of copper tubing in holes drilled through the bottom piece of wood. Needless to say, it didn't help much!

LOL!!! Hey, at least they thought about it... Now I've created a pesky issue where all the dusty***** that was inside the door drops out onto the nicely bodyworked doorjamb every time I open/close the door...
