    Hi
What is the problem here, the handles box said Vintique Inc. handles nr: B-702350/1-L and what I can see it should be suitable for a 5w coupe, but there is a lot of misalignment

Henry body and latches? I've always used Drake handles which fit good and have no experience with Vintique. Maybe they're made in the same place?

From my experience with the products of both companies, I believe what you’ve got is bad parts that don’t fit other bad parts.

I've only had 1 UP body but the Drake handles fit perfect.

I would agree with Krylon32 that the Drake handles would be a better bet. Vintiques uses die cast chrome plated outsde parts for this application. Drakes handles are ***embled from stamped stainless very much like originals, and yes they cost more. With the stainless bezels you could slightly shape or trim a bit I would think.

    Original 32 5w,
Is yr door Gl*** or steel?
I had Vintique with no issues, I just did not like the solid handle .

I recently used the same Vintique handles on my UP 5-Window with no fitment issues. Could something in the door be the issue? Unfortunately I can’t look at mine as my car is out being upholstered.

19Eddy30 my dike is steel (UP)
I tried to grind away material from the side it was thicker but then the axle hole didn’t fit
The grip in the handle isn’t in 90 degrese angel against the mounting plate

I'm with @chop&drop, UP body and Vintique handles with no problems. I did not realize the difference between Drake and Vintique but did know that Drake stuff was usually better quality. Aussie suppliers only carry Vintique, probably because of the cost..

Is it both sides or just p*** side?
    Here is another Original,
Make a templet out of cardboard of belt line shape as needed , or take Comp***
Fat marker to get the shape ,,
Use templet to shape bezel as needed.
You should not have to do but some times it needs to be done.
I have delt with UP stuff some need modified , just to let you know wide side up , & maybe hole stamped .125th or so to low , I have not worked with UP doors frame / skin , every other part they make for 32 5w I have ( every replacement panel)

Pardon the ignorance here, Do 3w and 5w have different handles? I know the ones on 4 doors & sedans are different.

I've used the same Drake L&R part number handles on 5 windows, 2 &4 door sedans, B 400, Vicky, no problems. I've never had a sport coupe or cabriolet but I suspect they use the same handles?

Sport Coupe uses the same as 5W etc., and Cabriolet has a flat escutcheon like the 3W but the operating shank is shorter.

When you compare 19Eddy30 photo above and mine the handles do not look the same
