    Hi friends,
I have some saggy door issues and figure some new hinge pins may open a can of worms, or solve my problem. Anyone replace theirs? 1952 Ford Customline. How about diameter? I found some for sale, but nothing year specific.

Anyone experienced on the issue, tips, tricks?

    Thanks!

Last time I bought hinges on ebay, they were ****. Figured most of these doors would be sagging after 55+ years. I will check it out though.

Seems if I remember, there's a hinge pin kit for GM cars with bronze/br*** bushings that can be used in Fords too, altho the existing pinholes may need resizing to accomodate the bushings, and the pins may need t*******.

    Does anyone else recollect?

I know this is old, but my paint guy just knocked the old pins out of my door and was using the new Macs pins referenced. He said they are smaller than the pins that were in there and is going to be worse than the ones he pulled out. What gives? Possibly someone used bigger pins in mine long ago and drilled them out or something?

Last year I bought the pin and bushing kit from Macs. I did the drivers door first. The bushings were wrong, but the pins they sent me were a bit bigger. I hammered in the new pins and put the door back on. No its not much better. I have not done the right door yet.

John I think you got the pins & bushings from Parts Plus. I gotta go over there tomorrow, will check on them and post the #s if I get the info. No sags, nice snug fit.

I looked up the door hinge pins in the The 1953 Thur 1955 Ford Body Parts Catalog and the only info they give is that 53-54 pins 3.25 " long. The original part no. is BA 7022840-A. The 55 is 2.44" long.

Well he called me back last night and said he put the pins back in that were already in there because they were tight anyway and only one door had some drag to it and they were able to mount the door and adjust that out. Said they are both tight and shut effortlessly.

I just realized maybe I bought the wrong pins. The pins I bought from Cl***ic Auto are B9A-43030-59AA because it said door pins on the ***le and had 55-56 Ford, but now I see it says 55-56 Ford Wagon tailgate hinge pin.
