How the hell do you all keep your doors from rattling? ( model a coupe) I have whether stripping around them now that's just temporary. They don't rattle bit the doors look like they are kinda open. Does the stock rubber bumpers kit work well? Thanks Posted using the Full Custom H.A.M.B. App!
the doors on my `28 Tudor do not rattle at all , even after being on the road almost 18 years. the doors fit the openings perfectly with no sagging or bad gaps. the latches are in top shape and the striker adjusted properly. the dovetails and the rubber bumpstops are used. i believe i trimmed a bit on the rubber bumpstops so they make contact with the door just before the latch snaps closed. just a slight pull on the doors and they close firmly , no need to slam them
Stock latches or bear claws? The runner bumps and properly adjusted striker typically is all they need. Reaso I asked on the latches, sometimes if the stricker is too small a diameter and you are using bear claws, they can bouce around in the latches. Even if you set the bumpers to the point where they just latch.
I probably could adjust doors a bit better. I have original hardware Posted using the Full Custom H.A.M.B. App!
