Yea, yea, I know!, Door removal should be a snap! any monkey can do it!, any human can do it without dropping the door on their toes! --- However, I guess I am below a monkey somewhere because I can't seem to figure out how to disconnect the Spring guide door catch. I thought the sleeved pin would simply pull out like on a house door. This one looks like its pressed in. So even with the door hinges unbolted, I can not remove the door till I find a way to disconnect this guide. any help?
I figured it out the hard way 30 miles from home in a cl***ic car salvage yard as I was trying to pull the door i ran into the same problem but didnt have the tools to remove it, lucky somebody at the yard helped me drill it out ,i just replaced the pressed in part with a universal door pin from the local auto store.....there might be another way to do it but thats what worked for me in the situation i was in...others might chime in
Thanks, looks like that might be the solution anyhow. Glad someone could make sense out of my message. I wasn't sure what that part was called.
