I just had the door sills for my 46 Olds sedanette repopped by Door Sills in NJ as they are not available aftermarket and because my originals were toast and well beyond repair. All I'm waiting for now is for the running board mats to be repopped in Canada and sent down under. Not exactly cheap and there is a long lead time however that's the price you pay. Just in case someone else is looking for these to finish their car? I never asked but they appear to be laser etched and are an exact copy of originals. Slowly getting there bit by bit.

$275 + shipping. Don't forget these cars weren't sold down here, we only had the poverty pack local GM Holden's more door sedan. Everything here costs a lot more than over there!

sills look like all that is needed to finish your project

  7. That's pricey but the ones for a 54 Chevy are only half that.

hi. For the rubber mats below the door I wonder if your door length is the same as on the 46 Chevies. If you could measure the old one on your car you might check withwww.chevsofthe40s.com as they stock them for all the 46 Chevy body styles as different models do have different doors. These rubber mats come vulcanized to a steel sheetmetal base. I replaced them on my 46 Chevy Coupe this year.

I would say that's a great price considering they are not available anymore.

A number of years ago I tried to get my dad to spring for a fastback just like that that had a straight body and chrome and all the pieces it really needed along with a clear title and real friendly price to build him a cruiser. He finally came up with the complaint that it didn't have a front seat in it as the reason he couldn't buy it. At the time we had just about everything to put it together stashed away including a 350R Olds engine and turbo 400.

Here are the new running boards and boot scrapers for the fender cap extensions on the rockers. Refurbished by Runningboard Rubber in Canada. Like brand new OEM product. I can recommend them for anyone looking for those hard to get [Impossible/obsolete] rubber parts that are not commercially available, however be prepared to wait a few months. There are longer than smaller 'A' bodied Fleetline Aero. They cost a little more than the sills and then don't forget freight here; it all adds to the overall cost. Nearly there now with all the hard to get bits and pieces.

Talk about perfect timing. I just got my 47 Olds up on a body dolly and started prepping to do the rockers and floors. The door sills on mine are toast just like yours. Being a 60 series coupe, I know the Chevy ones would fit, but I really don't want to use those. I could not find Olds ones anywhere. Then you chime in with a place that does repops!

Also, I can use the Chevy running boards, but the boot scrapers won't work on the Olds as you know. Mgtstumpy to the rescue again with a source for those, too!

Thank you for this valuable info. ;)

BTW, I couldn't find a web site for the door sill place. Could you provide a link?
